FORREX™ FIRE SUPPRESSION AGENT
The basis of the Dafo Vehicle system is the suppression agent Forrex™, which was specifically developed to suppress fires in internal combustion engines. Forrex™ is highly effective on fires involving flammable liquids such as gasoline, diesel and hydraulic oil. Combining the properties of liquid and dry chemicals, the system forms a unique and tailored solution to provide excellent flame suppression and unmatched protection against re-ignition as it cools the overheated engine parts in the event of a thermal event.
THE ADVANTAGES OF FORREX™
Proprietary blend
Forrex is Dafo's own proprietary blend. The surfactants it contains improve the flowability and fire suppression performance of Forrex.
High penetrating ability
Forrex spray droplets are slightly coarse but small enough to form an area of liquid cooling layer that absorbs the radiant heat. Forrex is also extremely effective at flowing along the outline of the engine components in the risk area to ensure it reaches every part where the fire could be. This is particularly important in flammable liquid fires.
Excellent cooling
Forrex effectively reduces the temperature on overheated surfaces below the ignition point of flammable liquids.
Prevents re-ignition
Increased heat absorption with the ability to adhere to three-dimensional surfaces and exclude oxygen.
Clean after discharge
After a discharging event, the area can easily be cleaned with water.
